Last week, Taylor Swift appeared on New Heights, the popular football podcast hosted by her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason.
It didn’t take long for Swifties to begin collecting “Easter eggs” and quickly forming theories about a yet-to-be confirmed Super Bowl performance.
Meanwhile, prediction market traders with real money on the line, betting on who will headline the next Super Bowl halftime show, are putting plenty of stock into the rumors. Swift’s odds have since soared, with hundreds of thousands of dollars pouring in on prediction markets like Kalshi.
Here’s what we know so far, including the easter eggs that Swifties claim point straight to Super Bowl LX.
Swift now owns her own music

Swift has turned down the Super Bowl halftime show before, but that was when she still didn’t own her own music. That all changed this year, when the pop star successfully acquired her full catalog—the master recordings from her first six albums—from venture capital firm Shamrock Capital.
Apple Music solved the old brand headache

Back when Pepsi sponsored halftime and Taylor was tied to Coke, the optics were messy. Apple Music is in charge now, which makes a Swift booking feel way less complicated.
A history of Easter eggs

The pop star is famous for dropping “Easter eggs” for her biggest fans. She teased reputation with snake clips, hid acrostic messages in early lyric booklets, announced “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” on 8/9 and made fans unlock the Google “vault,” planted Speak Now clues in the “Bejeweled” video, turned Midnights titles into TikTok bingo, and staged a TTPD “library” at The Grove.
So when she mentions “sourdough” or flashes a suspicious color palette, Swifties rightfully put their detective hats on.
Speaking of Easter eggs…
Sourdough bread

“Right now, we’re very deep in a sourdough obsession that has taken over my life,” Swift said during The New Heights podcast episode. And that wasn’t the only time she said it.
“Yeah, he asked me to send him two loaves of sourdough at training camp. I’m like wrapping sourdough loaves in like, Saran wrap or…cling film. The sourdough has taken over my life in a huge way.”
Why it matters: The Super Bowl is at Levi’s Stadium, which is the home turf for the 49ers and their mascot, Sourdough Sam.
60?

“The sourdough has taken over my life in a huge way. I’m really talking about bread 60% of the time now…”
Why it matters: She thinks of sourdough 60% of the time, quite the random number. And this year is Super Bowl 60…Coincidence? I think not.
QB name dropping

“I thought it was like Jared Goff is here and Josh Allen’s here… they blow a whistle and go at each other.”
Why it matters: Swifties flagged it as another football-coded wink,.
47

Swift also mentioned the number “47” several times.
Why it matters: Swift performed at this very stadium in Santa Clara during her 47th show. In fact, when she took Eras to Levi’s in 2023, the city went full “Swiftie Clara,” proclaiming here “Swiftie Clara.” Local officials better get ready for another Taylor takeover.
Lombardi Trophy

While the couple was talking, a Lombardi Trophy could be see in the background, oddly laying on its side.
Why it matters: You can put this one together whether you’re a Swiftie or not.
The one thing male sports fans want

“I think we all know that if there’s one thing male sports fan want to see in their spaces and on their screens…. it’s more of me,” Swift said facetiously.
I see what you did there, Taylor…
So what are the odds?

The most telling clue, however, is that traders with real money on the line are actually buying into theories.
Swift’s odds of headlining the show this time last week were less than 10%. Now? 64%
Who could join her?

Let’s say Swift does in fact headline the Super Bowl halftime show. Who might join her on stage?
Kalshi traders will soon be predicting that, too. Here are some early guesses:
- Post Malone
- Florence Welch
- Ice Spice
- Hayley Williams
- Sabrina Carpenter
- HAIM
- Ed Sheeran
- Lana Del Rey
