Our curated list of prediction markets podcasts are well worth a listen whether you're an aspiring trader or just looking to learn more.

Top Prediction Market Podcasts

Prediction market podcasts aren’t as liquid as their sports betting or fantasy football brethren, but there are dozens of episodes that tackle prediction markets in one way or another.

Whether you are learning the basics, hunting for trading tips, or simply tracking the latest industry news, these are the best prediction market podcasts—presented in no particular order—to help you get up to speed.

Prediction Markets and Beyond – web3 with a16z crypto (Nov. 2024)

One of the best primers on prediction markets you’ll find, as the hosts are joined by George Mason University economist Alex Tabarrok and Scott Duke Kominers to trace back their genesis before delving into the how, why, and where these markets work. It’s an in-depth two-hour-long podcast, so best for a solo road trip or a flight.

‘Domer — The Information Edge: Winning in Prediction Markets’ – Chat With Traders (May 2022)

Looking for some foundational trading advice and some wild trading stories? Domer is your man. This one is from back in 2022, but Domer had already established himself as a top prediction trader and a Polymarket “whale,” where he places high-stakes trades on everything from the outcome of Britney Spears’ conservatorship to the Suez Canal obstruction. Find out prediction market basics, Domer’s research process, trading strategies, and first-hand stories of his biggest wins and losses — all in less than 60 minutes.

Prediction News Update (2025)

Call me biased, but Prediction News’ senior political reporter Chris Gerlacher and attorney Daniel Wallach are among the sharpest voices covering the new and rapidly growing prediction market industry. From courtroom battles to CFTC hearings, this duo distills everything you need to know about the ever-evolving world of event contracts.

‘A Primer on Prediction Markets with Robin Hanson’ – Village Global’s Venture Stories (July 2018)

Economist and polymath Robin Hanson is known as the godfather of prediction markets, first writing about them in the 1980s. Here he unpacks “idea futures,” conditional event contracts, and futarchy—a form of institutional governance run by prediction markets.

‘Betting on the Future via Prediction Markets’ – Complex Systems Podcast (Aug. 2024)

Doubling as a primer and a deep dive into prediction markets, Manifold co-founder Stephen Grugett joins and Patrick McKenzie to discuss everything from the role of bots in prediction markets, to innovative use cases, and more specific topics about Grugett’s own play-money platform, Manifold.

‘The Original Prediction Market Was Betting on the Pope’ – Odd Lots (March 2025)

Joe Weisenthal & Tracy Alloway trace the roots of modern event contracts back to 16th-century papal conclaves. The brisk history lesson shows today’s Kalshi and Polymarket traders that they are part of a five-century-old tradition, while also driving into the price action, insider trading, and moral backlash of the times before fast-forwarding to modern prediction market platforms like Kalshi and Polymarket.

The Sentinel Podcast (2025)

Rai Sur brings together a rotating panel of elite super-forecasters to put precise, public odds on the world’s most consequential risks. The podcast debuted in May, tackling the risk of nuclear war between India and Pakistan, and most recently unpacked the odds of Iranian regime change. It’s an essential listen for Polymarket users trading geopolitical markets or anyone wanting to better understand the world.

Star Spangled Gamblers (2025)

Turning Capitol Hill chatter into a handicapping session, industry veteran Pratik Chougule has recorded a whopping 270 episodes (and counting) since launching the podcast in 2018. It’s the best prediction market podcast you’ll find consistently dropping new episodes. One of my favorites is The Trader Who Guessed Every Swing State Correctly — Twice, and it is a great place for new listeners to start.

‘Betting on Chaos’ - Risk of Ruin (May 2025)

Another essential episode in which the prediction trader known as Domer is the guest and subject. Released this summer, the discussion is timely as he talks about trading the 2024 presidential election, unraveling the mystery of the French whale who bet tens of millions on Donald Trump, and the path to his unique career.

‘A conversation with Shayne Coplan’ - The Scoop (Nov. 2020)

Shayne Coplan ascended into tech prominence in 2024 as his prediction market platform, Polymarket, made Time’s 100 Most Influential Companies. This interview, however, goes back to 2020, when the young founder and CEO was just happy that Polymarket facilitated $8 million in trading volume on the 2020 election. Coplan may have been the only person to believe that number would eclipse $1 billion four years later. This may be an old interview, but it’s extremely insightful to rewind and hear Coplan’s thoughts during the early days of Polymarket.

‘Are Prediction Markets Gambling? Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev is Betting Not’ – Decoder, The Verge (April 2025)

A thoughtful discussion between tech journalist Nilay Patel and Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev. Patel presses Tenev on legal gray areas and regulatory turf wars, and whether frictionless access to event markets helps or harms retail investors.

‘The Rise of Prediction Markets’ – Motley Fool Money (April 2025)

This episode features Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour discussing the mechanics, growth, and potential of prediction markets, and explores how these platforms operate and what they mean for investors and the public, and how they could disrupt the sports betting industry.
